Mohlos is a picturesque seaside village in the heart of a fantastic natural landscape on the north coast of Crete, between Sitia and Agios Nikolaos.

The small VILLAS -Ensemble of 3 detached villas rises above the Mocholos-Inlet, offering from on high a magnificent view which, as our guests exclaim, "cannot be captured by any camera!" Every visitor is amazed to find that Mohlos has "its own magical atmosphere" and a mysterious positive, invigorating energy. It is obviously no coincidence that the islet of Mohlos was the site of one of the greatest harbours and naval centres of Minoan Crete, with links to the great civilisations of the East. The greatest and brightest collection of Minoan gold jewellery and diadems was discovered here, similar to those of the Sumerian Queen of Sheba!
Facilities
Each villa is independent, ensuring full privacy with its own surrounding area, its own verandas, patios and greenery, its own private swimming pool and its own parking spaces. All three villas look out over the vast blue Sea of Crete, the beautiful islet of Mohlos with its Minoan ruins, the imposing "Kastelas" peak and other mountains, Mohlos and the nearby villages and the lovely farming landscape with its small plain, hills and foothills cloaked in silver-green olive trees. This is a magical, inspiring and peaceful spot.

The Villa of the Musees is just as attractive and comfortable as the Alcestis and Calypso. However, there are some differences. The villa is set out on a single level on the first floor, this Villa is smaller. The interior is 90 m2 with a larger, paved veranda (36 m2) with a pergola, facing northwest. There are two patios, one on the east next to the 32 m2 swimming pool, and one on the west forming an extension to the veranda.

+ Visit the south-Coast City Ierapetra with the Arabic influence and then drive eastwards in direction Koutsouras about 1 km before you arrive the coastal village Koutsouras there is the entry of the “Red Butterfly Gorge”. 400 m from the Communal Park of Koutsouras is the starting point with the sign "Dasaki Butterfly Gorge Spring" the home of all butterfly species of Crete, especially the Red Butterflies”. It is a low-level hiking with red marks this hiking can be also be done with children. After this 2-hrs-hike your bathing suits could be wet in the beach of the small coastal village Makri Gialos. This hiking tour can be done from May-October, not before my as the water level in the gorge is too high.

+ The Palm Forest Vai and its Monastery Toplou for this day trip you must start early in the morning. You must arrive there before the crowds arrive with the huge tourist-buses. Even it is over-crowded in the summertime, it is worth to see! A real paradise for bathing when you arrive there before the crowds. We started from Agios Nikolaos at 4 AM!

+Visit A day-tour to the picturesque coastal villages Elounda and Plaka and visiting SpinalongaThe Spinalonga - Fort & Island Spinalonga is in the gulf of Elounda, it is one of the most famous places on the island! The rocky island is situated directly opposite the village of Plaka, the fortified islet is a classic excursion. The history of Spinalonga goes back to the antiquity when the islet contained an ancient acropolis and protected the ancient sunken city of Olous. The trips to the Island Spinalonga from Agios Nikolaos, Elounda or Plaka are organized tours. The archaeological sites are opened at least 9am to 5:45pm but it can be from 8am in Summer. In the wintertime from November to March it is closed, sometimes it may open on weekends if the weather is good.

+ One of the most renowned table lands of Crete is the Lassithi Plateau with its dam and its Monastery Kera Kardiotissa

+ On the wheels southwards “On Hippies Trail + Culture” first you visit the archaeological site and Gortys
