The Anemomilos Hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the center of oia. The place is known for its breathtaking panoramic view of the caldera. The picturesque town of oia is located on the extreme northwestern tip of the island. 21 km from the harbor and 14 km from Santorini airport. Every evening in the season the same spectacle occurs, tourists from the island flock to the castle to experience the sunset here. You hear languages ??from all over the world, even those you don't know. The place is truly magical and the international crowd contributes to the ambience of oia. Visit the village of Imerovigli on the crater rim, which is a listed building. It is the highest place on the crater rim at over 280 metres high. From Imerovigli you have a wonderful view of and into the caldera and its harbour. Like Oia and Thira, Imerovigli is an "open-air museum" and a meeting place for artists from all over the world. In the alleys there are art studios that sell high-quality art. Most of the hotels are former cave houses and apartments that have been restored. You can stroll along narrow cobbled streets. The deep blue of the Aegean is constantly present. Cafes and taverns right on the crater rim and the international crowd. Everyone shares the same interests, they feel somehow connected to each other, even though they come from different directions to be captivated by this island. The main attraction of the village is the Skaros rock on the sea side. It was one of the five fortresses of Santorini and the most important. It was once an observation post that provided safety from pirates. Today you can admire the remains after the earthquake of 1817. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top of Skaros Rock. Skaros is the trademark of Santorini. On the cliffs in front of Skaros you can visit the famous church of Panagia Malteza and the chapel of Panagia Theoskepasti. Also worth seeing is the monastery of Agios Nikolaos, located between the villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli. The monastery houses a folklore museum and an ecclesiastical museum with Byzantine icons. Immerovigil is an impressive setting of whitewashed houses, priceless tranquility, cobbled alleys and paved paths. Santorini has volcanic beaches with black-gray sand, such as Kokkini and Aspri beaches, which are located near the settlement of Akrotiri on the south coast. On the east coast of Santorini: Kamari Beach, Perissa, Perivolos and Monolithos. Other beaches of Santorini are located along the north coast: Ammoudi Beach, Armeni Beach, Baxedes Beach, Paradissos Beach, Koloubo Beach and Vourvoulou.
