Greece vacation very special:
You will stay for 4 days on Santorini in the Anemomilos Villas in the town of oia, 11 km northwest of the capital Fira. OIA is considered one of the most picturesque places in Greece with a traditional character and is world famous for its sunsets.
Following this, 10 days in western Crete in the small boutique hotel AIRIS approx. 3 km west of the picturesque old town of Chania in the small authentic district of Chania, Agoi Apostoli with a gently sloping sandy beach. 3 picturesque bathing bays with sandy beaches can be reached in just 5-10 minutes on foot. The bays are cultivated with deck chairs and parasols and beach cafes. From here, the most beautiful nature reserves in Crete are easily accessible. A private day tour with our local guide from/to the hotel is included.

On Santorini: A great half-day trip is a boat tour with one of the motor sailors into the caldera. Here you not only enjoy the view from the sea, but the boats also stop on the uninhabited island of "Nea Kameni", which lies in a crater. This is the best place to see the traces of the volcanic explosion and the lava masses. There are active sulphur springs where the sea turns green. There is a place where you can swim in the sea and the water warms up pleasantly around you. You can easily book these and other tours on site at the hotel.

The ferry crossing from Crete to the other greek Islands taking much time. Another important reason to prefer the flight connection is the "Meltemi Wind" in the summertime. The Meltemi wind was known by the old Greeks as the Etesian northern winds. The monsoonal effect during the summer that leads to a low pressure trough over Turkey. Etesian winds (Meltemi Winds) flow from a high pressure ridge over the Balkans toward the trough. During a strong Etesian, the trough may extend relatively far to the south and beyond Crete. However, not uncommonly it reaches sometimes over 8 Bft during the day, so ferrys have to wait till the End of the Meltemi winds. Sometimes it takes over two days, so it is difficult to organize island hopping packages with ferries, as there is no guarantee for the ferry-schedule. Therefore we decided to offer the packages with domestic flights. Price includes: The most important thing on Santorini is to live on the crater rim to watch the most beautiful sunsets. Beach life is secondary on the island.
