Location
The town of Potamos is located in the north of the center of the island and is one of the largest commercial centers of the island of Kythira, while retaining its picturesque character. 21 km to the port of Diakofti and 10 km to the Nereida waterfall. 5 km to Lygia Beach. The architecture of the houses was strongly influenced by Peloponnesian architecture. Several neoclassical buildings are still well preserved. A market takes place here every Sunday where local farmers display their agricultural products. In Potamos there are accommodations, restaurants and traditional cafes.

Sights:
18 km to Loutro tis Afroditis and 21 km to the famous monastery of Myrtidiotissa. The red beach of Firi Ammos is also worth a visit, as are Kapsali and Avlemonas.
