Skopelos hasn´t an international airport. There is something about arriving by ferry at a picturesque Greek port that has an relaxing mood. The area of Glossa is rich in springs olive trees, plum trees and almond trees dominate the landscape. The architecture of Skopelos is influenced by the Macedonians. Two-storey houses with tile roofs and wooden balconies. Glossa seems to have existed since the minoan era as traces of pre-historic housing were discovered. In many parts of the town there are ancient towers. The green island is still very pristine and only a tourist area in July - September. The mountainous island is about 35 kilometers long with few roads. In the west, southwest you will find the most beautiful beaches. Thickly forested with fragrant pine trees.
