Gerolimenas is located in South-Peloponnese. Here the mountains drop dramatically down into the sea and the scattered villages, with their inevitable towerhouses, get few visitors. Gerolimenas is set at the southern tip of the Mani peninsula in a small bay surrounded by steep slopes of the idyllic and southernmost fishing port Gerolimenas. In the past, when the modern road network did not yet exist and this part of the mani was not accessible, the inner mani was supplied from this small port. You can still see a few old warehouses in the small harbor today. It's an interesting stop before moving on to the Vathia towers.
